If you are paying attention to the metal scene in Texas, then you are probably aware of the putrid thrash that @skourge manifests. Hailing from Houston, Texas, the band is made up of mostly Erik Hester (bass), Jacob Duarte (guitar), and Seth Gilmore (vocals). The rest of the band is a curiosity according to the inter-webs.
Seth Gilmore is a grubby man with some dirty vocals. Torrential Torment is a skin rash of a song that burns and rips with crossover thrash vigor that will make you happy to be bleeding. There is some epic guitar leads that will give your neck a workout.
Peasants Revolt will scratch your “chugah” itch. An onslaught of energy and just fucking brutal guitar tones. Again, Gilmore has the voice that only nuclear sewage could induce! Wretched beauty of a tune.
The rest of the record will drag you through murky waters of poo and random body parts. It is hard hitting and vile in a delightfully disgusting way!
I would be remiss to not mention Seth Gilmore is on vocals in @fugitive_tx, along with Blake Ibanez on guitar (Power Trip), Victor Gutierrez on guitar (Impalers), Andy Messer on bass (ANS), and Lincoln Mullins on drums (Creeping Death). Also a killer band that put out their debut last year.
8 out of 10: one part #crossoverthrash, another part #deathmetal, all Texas metal ferocity!
