Existence - Go To Heaven

Existence - Go To Heaven

Stokholm is a wonderful place. Not because of the people, the culture, or that their country has their shit together. Fuck that shit. It is because they love fucking metal. Want proof? Look for further then Existence.
Frozen Sprit is a #crossoverthrash banger that is both thoughtful lyrically and a lesson in how to write several chunky riffs and weave them together to stir up a pit. LK and Simon on guitar are a perfect compliment to each other, while Linus is truthful about the true spirit of humanity. “No paradise comes without bloodshed!”
In Horror Spawn, Linus channels our very own @stalesmusic when he barks “I see an enemy in everyone I meet!” Musically, the track is a more intricate Terror. It has a classic hardcore feel. That is….until a diabolical laugh ushers in some evil thrash licks. It occurs to me that Existence is a force to be reckoned with and if you see these guys live, bring your fighting pants. Shit will be rowdy!
“Faith is a fruitless offering. A soothing kiss that means nothing to me.” Linus’s painful reality is a strength in Hell is Empty. He is dealing with loss, while the band supplies an ample offering of enraged fuel to coax the best out of him.
Caught In The Deep End is a classic metal song. Clear channel guitars with an depressed tone gives way to an epic emotional release from Linus and a barrage of chuggah riffs that will demand movement of any pit. A highlight track for me.
Existence is honest, dynamic and has a bright future. If you haven’t heard them, then I suggest you leave your genitals alone for five minutes and give these guys a listen very loud!

8.5 out of 10: Somewhere between Terror and Death. That is high praise in my book.
