The Bills Mafia knows how to get down! Exhibition from Buffalo NY, is 100% crushing #crossoverthrash that made me jump out of my chair!
The album takes off with a no frills handbanger in Exhibition. Mason and Goo are the headliners. They fly with some high energy thrash parts that repent to an absolute monster guitar solo. Brett spits high octane fire to support the barrage. A nasty start to a killer record.
Losing Control sounds like early Anthrax. Gallop drums, Bello like bass, and ambitious riffs! A formula for success! I listened to this while making grilled cheese sandwiches for the kids. The kids were bobbing their heads in unison. So it must be killer…right?
Bottom Feeder is a stank face song. A guitar driven track with some Tony Iommi finger tapping. Exquisite guitar play on this song and one of my favorite songs of the year! Brett’s angst is a perfect bark to compliment the guitars bite!
Anthrax, Agnostic Front, Cro-Mags and Power Trip are all reasonable comparisons. Energy. Movement. Assault. The Last Laugh is a banger and will make my top 10 for the year. I have been spinning this record consistently for months. It has the staying power of the before mentioned gorilla bands.
8.5 out of 10. Keep an eye on these guys! They have big cocks and leave no prisoners.
